Our eco linen collection

Linen is one of the strongest textiles, one of the oldest and one of the most eco friendly fabrics to produce. We are very enthusiastic about linen, it’s all natural and is a fabric that has been woven and worn since the ancient Egyptians. Linen has been found in pharos tombs and, along with wool, was one of the two primary fabrics used in the UK until cotton was imported into England in the 1690s.

Linen is made from the stems of the flax plant, it is strong, durable. It is biodegradable and grown without synthetic aids, it a fabric that is perfect for upholstery, tablecloths, curtains, cushions and blinds.

All our organic linen cotton mixes are printed responsibly in the UK using certified organic inks and dyes. They have high rub rates, so can be used for upholstery and are UV resistance so our dyes will be stable in sunlight. The linens we print are 130 to 135 cm wide, 250 gsm in weight and printed to any length.

In addition, all the designs below can be printed onto both white linen and undyed linen. Just message us if you don’t see the option you’d prefer.

Bird

This subtle and calming bird fabric is covered in hand painted images of birds painted by Katy McIntyre Brown.

This design is printed on linen, cotton canvas and a cotton velvet.

Our upholstery fabric is hard wearing and suitable for curtains, general furnishing, blinds and cushions. The linen is perfect for table cloths, blinds, lampshades and curtains.

The velvet is made of good quality cotton velvet and beautiful when used on cushions and lampshades.

All designs are hand painted and printed by traditional printers in the UK.

The linen is 130 cm wide and the cotton and velvet fabric width is 140cm.

Our fabrics are sold by the metre and printed to order. If you’re looking for a piece of fabric for a headboard or large shade, just message us and we can print your order horizontally and seamlessly.
